Next-Gen Tata Sierra: 5 Key Things You Must Know Before the Launch

Tata Motors is all set to bring back one of its most iconic nameplates — the Next-Gen Tata Sierra — in an all-new avatar. Expected to launch later this fiscal year, the upcoming Sierra will be packed with futuristic design, cutting-edge technology, and segment-first features. Positioned between the Nexon and Harrier, it aims to take on rivals like the Hyundai Creta with a unique blend of style and substance.

Here are the top five things you need to know about the 2025 Tata Sierra:

1️⃣ Next-Gen Tata Sierra Dual Powertrain Options: Electric & Petrol

Next-Gen Tata Sierra

The new Tata Sierra will be available in two variants — a fully electric version and a petrol-powered internal combustion engine (ICE) model. The EV variant will launch first, followed by the ICE model a few weeks later. Both versions will share a similar boxy design, with the EV version looking slightly sleeker and more aerodynamic.

2️⃣ All-Wheel Drive for the EV

Tata Motors is expected to equip the Sierra.ev with optional AWD (All-Wheel Drive). This setup will include a front-mounted primary motor and a rear secondary motor that activates only when extra grip or performance is needed. This will make the Sierra EV ideal for both city driving and off-road adventures.

3️⃣ Segment-Leading Turbo Petrol Engine

The ICE version of the new Sierra will debut a brand-new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This four-cylinder engine will deliver 168 hp and 280 Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful engines in its class. These figures set a new benchmark for mid-size SUVs in the Indian market.

4️⃣ Triple Screen Dashboard Layout

The 2025 Sierra will be the first SUV in its segment to feature a three-screen dashboard setup. This includes a fully digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated passenger touchscreen that allows the front passenger to stream videos, navigate, and control media functions independently.

5️⃣ Luxurious Four-Seat Lounge Edition

In a first for its category, Tata will offer a four-seat lounge version of the Sierra. This variant will include two plush rear seats with extended legroom, individual armrests, and calf support, designed for those who prefer to be chauffeur-driven. It will offer a premium, lounge-like experience on wheels.

The next-gen Tata Sierra is not just a revival — it’s a revolution. With advanced tech, powerful engines, and premium features, the Sierra is poised to become one of Tata’s flagship SUVs. Whether you’re into EV innovation or luxury travel, this SUV promises to deliver both.
