Powered by PCIe Gen 5.0, this SSD offers exceptional performance with read speeds reaching 14,900 MB/s and write speeds up to 14,000 MB/s, positioning it among the top-tier SSDs available today.
The WD Black SN8100 comes in multiple storage options: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB, with an 8TB version slated for release later in 2025. Leveraging SanDisk’s BiCS8 TLC 3D NAND technology, the SSD boasts impressive power efficiency, consuming an average of 7W or less. Western Digital claims it’s twice as energy-efficient as its PCIe Gen 4.0 predecessor, making it a great choice for eco-conscious, high-performance builds.
Built for durability, the 4TB model offers an endurance rating of up to 2,400 TBW, ideal for heavy-duty applications like 4K video editing, competitive gaming, and AI-driven workflows.
